Angefangen habe ich mit Dokumentar-, Landschafts- und Porträtfotografie.
Mittlerweile fasziniert mich die abstrakte Fotografie, das Abbilden einer Realität jenseits des offen - Sichtlichen.
Bei diesen Serien interessiert es mich, die Atmosphäre, die einem bestimmten Ort inne wohnt, mit meiner ICM Aufnahmetechnik zu ergründen. Mitunter liegen mehr Schwingungen in der Luft, als man mit Auge oder Ohr wahrzunehmen vermag. Manchmal schwingt mehr mit als man sieht, manchmal etwas anderes als man erwartet. Oft sind es Brüche, Diskrepanzen oder verborgene Aspekte die die Spannung des Ortes ausmachen. Durch meine Aufnahmetechnik kommen sie ans Licht und der Genius loci dringt in meinen Bildern durch.
In these series, I am interested in fathoming the atmosphere inherent in a particular place with my ICM recording technique.
Sometimes there are more vibrations in the air than one is able to perceive with the eye or ear. Sometimes there is more than meets the eye, sometimes something else than you expect. Often it is fractures, discrepancies or hidden aspects that make up the tension of the place. Through my recording technique they come to light and the genius loci penetrates in my images.
